  • MOGRT – Constrain to two specific fonts, can it be done?

    Posted by Cornilla Bro on September 17, 2026 at 1:50 am

    Hello,

    Wondering if anyone knows if I can limit font selection when creating a MOGRT?

    ie I only want the user to be able to select from two font choices.

    Thanks,

    Corn

    You should be able to limit it via expressions, and then use a checkbox in the mogrt settings to control it. Probably want to limit it to system fonts, otherwise you’ll get some funky results.

    Here’s a simple example. Try adding a checkbox to your text layer and add this expression to the Source Text property (edit the font names to ones that make sense on your system):

    cb = effect("Checkbox Control")("Checkbox").value;
    cb ? style.setFont("ArialMT") : style.setFont("LucidaConsole");

    Thanks so much for your help! I ended up finding this really helpful tutorial, once I realised it was possible from your replies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwx7W71dSr4
