  • Mograph_Effector for Cloner Object Mode Visibility?

Posted by Eric Kuehnapfel on September 20, 2011 at 12:14 pm

Is there an easy way to randomly pop on/off cloners that are attached to an object? It seems that it should be easy to assign a random effector to visibility but I haven’t figured out how to do it for individual clones. I also played around with using noise in the alpha channel to animate visibility but that only seems to affect all the clones at once. Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards, Eric.

You can use a random effector for this. Just check the “visibility” box in the parameters tab and set the effector’s mode to noise or turbulence. Then adjust the noise scale and speed parameters to taste.

Ah, I suspected the Visibility button was key but thought it only applied to Time Offset. I failed to make the connection between that and the Noise/Turbulence mode. This works great – thanks a bunch!
