Mograph vewport realtime update
Posted by Sergei Opanasuk on January 22, 2009 at 4:07 amHello everyone.
I am using Mograph cloner object. I create a keyframe. I try to create another keyframe along the timeline. It looks like there is no response in the viewport when i change the value for animated property. Please let me know how i can fix it.
Thanks much for all your help!!!sergei

January 22, 2009 at 6:26 amYou have to change the value then make the second keyframe.
So: Key frame- move timeline- change value- keyframe

January 22, 2009 at 9:21 pmThank you Randy,
That is basically what i did. The problem is I dont see any changes in the viewport while i am setting up a new keyframe. I nest two Cloner Objects and It works for the object that is on the top of hierarchy. Still, the viewport does not respond for the nested object parameters. I believe it should be some simple solution for this problem. I just cannot find it 🙁
Thanks again for your help.sergei

January 23, 2009 at 2:46 amAll parameters under Object and Transform Tab. It happens when i animate nested Clone Object. It works fine when the
Clone object is not a child of another Clone object.
I don’t have any issues when i nest Clone object into Text, Fracture, Matrix, or Instance Object.
Thank you.sergei

January 23, 2009 at 3:21 amJust one more thing. It looks like parameters of child Clone object don’t have any issues as long as parent Clone object is disabled. Thank you for all your feedback!!!!

January 23, 2009 at 4:13 ama simple test here – cube in a Cloner set to grid in a Cloner set to grid – I can set object and Transform parameters in the child Cloner and they update in the viewport and show in animation. Though the viewport doesn’t update until I actually record the keyframe…

January 23, 2009 at 4:31 amHi Brian,
That is absolutely correct. I thought i can see the changes in the viewport before i set a new keyframe. I just hoped there is some way to make that thing work. Grid array mode does not have many properties. It gets a bit annoying when i work in Linear or Radial mode.
Thank you!!!!sergei

January 24, 2009 at 12:44 amIt does update before you add a keyframe but after that first keyframe, no refresh until a new keyframe, maybe there’s a technical reason but I don’t know why.
