    Hey all,

I have a simple requirement which despite my best efforts and forum searching I just cannot seem to get a grip on. I know this is a very VERY simple thing to do but for some reason I have gotten myself stuck somewhere.

I have a grid of clones which I want to scale from 1m to 100m over say 20 frames.
I want this scale animation to be offset per clone by say 10 frames.
I want to do this using only effectors rather than keyframing the scale of the clone source.

I have managed to achieve this by scaling the cloned primitive object and applying a step effector with time offset- But I would rather use something like a Plain effector to control the keyframed scale
-so as to avoid keyframes on the primitave object level.

However I cannot seem to get it to work 🙁
Any help would be appreciated and apologies for the uber-noob question!

    Hey Nathan,
Im thinking that what you want to use is an inheritance effector.
It will mimic the animation of an object (not the cloned object)
in this case a cube growing.
You set the falloff to linear and then run the falloff cage through the grid.
Try to download this sample file with this link.
