    Hello All,

    MoDynamics Question

I have a client that wants an animation similar to a Hula Hoop Backspin. I have a cylinder inside a cloner object that has Custom Initial Velocity set to +1200 in the x direction and a Initial Angular Velocity set to -900 in the B rotation field. This gives me the animation I want but the cylinder eventually starts to go off axis until it falls like a real hula hoop would (on to a floor plane). I am wondering if there is a way to keep the cylinder upright…ie not have the cylinder fall flat.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I would increase angular damping in the force tab and increase the threshhold settings in the dynamics>deactivation section. The first change will cause the rotation to slow faster (huh?) and the second will turn off dynamics when the motion reaches the set velocity.
