Modify the dark gray overall color
Posted by Rick Wise on August 25, 2014 at 7:38 pmI find the default Vegas 12 dark gray color too dark. But I cannot figure out how to lighten it in Options/display. Nothing seems to help. Is there a way?

August 25, 2014 at 10:37 pmThe only thing I can think of is to turn off the “Use Vegas color scheme” option in preferences and change your Windows theme to get what you want. Of course, this affects all application windows.

August 26, 2014 at 6:30 amIt would be advantageous if the Workspace could have an option to MODIFY the darkness, and give the User an option, as per the OP, to LIGHTEN it rather than just simply turning ON/OFF or use the Global Windows adjustment. Will it happen? I wouldn’t hold my breath for a change anytime soon.

Oddly i wish it was darker. What i do is just use a Dark Windows Theme overall.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Adobe did this in Photoshop a version or two ago. They had the lighter color scheme and then defaulted to a darker one, but gave options to choose the previous lighter one and an even darker one. Whatever, it has a few choices. The “classic” and darker ones.
I’ll submit a feature request for something like this. It should be really trivial to implement this. Since Vegas can work with their scheme or the system scheme, they have variability already implemented so a little tweak for additional Vegas schemes should be easy.
