  • Modify QT from 30fps to 24fps??

Posted by Aaron Neitz on September 15, 2006 at 5:36 pm

So I’ve got this footage loaded from Digi that was laid off from Flame with that 24fps mode. (it only puts 24 real frames down on tape, so playback is 20% too fast). Is there a quick way to take these 10bit QT’s and switch the frame rate from 29.97 to 23.98? I’m having to take them in Shake and render the file out with the correct fps selected…

open the file in Cinema Tools, (comes with FCP)
and conform it to whatever framerate you want.

(conform button is on right of screen after you open the file)

it’s a simple instruction to the QT file to play art a different rate,
    no rendering involved

    hope that helps,
    nick
