Modify Account

Despite numerous failed attempts to Modify my Javaholic account, I’ve had to create a whole new one in order to add updated iformation to it. Via Creative Calf’s ‘Contact Us’ link, I attempted to ask questions from each of these 4 email addresses but it seems they are all defunt and in-operable…for my 2-cents, they should be removed the site if they are invalid.

Except for my obvious disappointment in the defunct CreativeCalf website tools I’ve discovered thusfar, I do value this venue for finding help to what I’m certain will be many questions concerning the Vegas software.

If your screen name that you were trying to change to contained less than eight characters, it would have failed. We are trying to keep this site from repeating the “Bob” and “Bill” naming schemes that happened at the Cow because we set no limit in the early days.

I get all email addressed to either the Ron link or the Cowdog link on the contact us page. I just now went through the rather copious barrage of email I get everyday and which tends to pile up between my spurts of enterprise to get it caught up — and there is nothing here for either me or Cowdog from you.

We have two people, me and my wife, who moderate these forums and are highly active and responsive to those who write us. Many times, we respond in minutes and on the rare occasion, may take a day or two to respond. But we have always taken our community and our commitment to it quite seriously. We do not shine people on and I have no idea who you were trying to connect to but it surely wasn’t me and the Dog — and we are two of the four listed on that contacts page.

I straighten out many account problems all the time. I was up at 5am this morning and have done a bunch of things and in among those things were three accounts that wanted updating, etc., and they are done. I suspect that your email server may be one of those who may be blacklisted with Charter.net (where we get our email from in the final leg of the relay to us from our server) and so we may not have even received it. So you may wish to consider that the Net is far from a perfect universe the next time you think about making blanket dismissals regarding the commitment of those who run this site and the Cow.

You know, I really wish I’d taken your suggested approach to resolve my bounced messages…just wasn’t thinking clearly I guess.

Please forgive my novice approach, I’ll try to do better in the future…that is if you grant me a future at this Forum.

Could you perhaps puts some words around the bounced addresses that are supplied in the message below? Seems I’m still having problems getting any of your ‘Contact Us’ email addresses to work. Is there anything I need to do on my end to make any of these addresses work?
