January 18, 2012 at 3:51 pmYou can delete them with the delete key, but sometimes that will result in the polygon being deleted. In this case you’d probably want to select the two points and use the weld command.

January 18, 2012 at 4:38 pmI have just tried using this weld tool, couldn’t figure out how to use it, but thanks for posting. The anchor point just seems to do nothing.

It’s pretty simple. Select two points and then select the weld command. You should see a white point between the two that were selected. If you left click in the viewport the points will be welded at that location.
If, instead, you hover over one of the existing points, the highlight will move there and clicking will cause the points to be welded at that location.
