Modeling Question
I’m new to C4D and 3d all together.
I’m trying to model a truck/van type thing.I’ve used hyper nurbs to get the basic shape of the front of my van.
Now im trying to figure out how to make a band around the windsheild.I can cut out the hole I want the wind shield to go in but I cant figure out how to extrude or bevel or do anything to make a band rise up out of the model.
I tried to knife cut the points i wanted, but the result was too complicated to be useable.
Anyone have any ideas?I’d like to be able to make a spline from the selection I make on the mesh.
Is this something I can do?
If so how?Does anyone know where I can find a good car tutoral for C4D 9?

It would help if you could post a pic of the unsmoothed wireframe–with the polys selected where you want to put the band.
You can get a spline from edges by selecting them and running Structure>Edit Spline>Edge to Spline.
