Posted by Rainer Wirth on May 16, 2010 at 9:41 amHi folks out there,
I’ve got modd and m2ts files of a Sony camera. How can I get them into FCP 6 ?
Thanks a lot

All the best,

May 16, 2010 at 7:36 pmIt is a Sony HDV. The files I need to transcode into QT are the m2ts files.
I’ve read a thread about this problem and tried the trial version of Moyea MTS. It works. Do you know of a better tool or method?
Mpeg streamclip doesn’t do the job. Thanks a lot

May 17, 2010 at 2:43 pmMpeg streamclip will work, however you have to buy a $20 plug in to do so. Also https://www.clipwrap.com/ will do the job. Here is an article about the m2t conversion. It even explains how to use compressor to convert.

May 18, 2010 at 10:50 amHi Cameron,
clipwrap and mgeg Streamclip (without the plugin) doesn’t do the job. I haven’t tried compressor, I did go for Moyea which is about 30 bucks and it works very well.
Thanks for your input.Rainer
