I am tracking phone display in mocha. Display has curved corners and notch.
Display is tracking perfectly. But I have issues with the replaced screen. Replaced screen doesn’t have curves.
    I used insert module.

I used different method too. I made pre-comp of replaced image and fit to comp size and applied tracking data. and then also created AE masks and copied it to Replaced screen (to get the same shape as phone’s curve) But it has got weird shape.

What is the solution for this?

you precomposed incorrectly..or a layer is 2d where it needs to be 3d inside the compt…or try continuous rasterize

How do I make the corners and notch fit perfectly?

mocha took into consideration the proportions of your image. That workflow is different than the usual with AE’s tracker, so you don’t have to scale to comp size, just precomp the image (leaving attributes) and apply the masking there.

If you’re using the insert module, just create a mask that matches the curve of the phone and link it to the tracking data.
You can then either use it as your foreground mask in the Insert module or use the resulting mask as a matte back in After Effects.

How do I create mask that matches phone curve? I just clicked on ‘Use all foreground layers’ and it worked. Is that fine?

And I am not able to import video into insert module. I tried may different formats.

If you’re using the plugin, just import the screen insert via the “Insert Layer” option.

See “Rendering Insert Layers” under the After Effects plugin section:

I am able to insert image in the insert layer but not videos.

You mean you can’t use the layers from the timeline in After Effects as videos?

Don’t try importing them externally from disk, use the “Insert Layer” option in the plugin interface.

Thank you for all the solutions. It’s working fine now.
