Mocha Pro Mesh Tracker headaches!
My friends,I’m in Mocha Pro in After Effects. I’m trying to use the mesh tracker to track in a little patch to cover the edge of a character’s prosthetic nose. I signed an NDA so I can’t post anything here unfortunately, but I’m sure if seeing the nose would actually help that much. Here was my process:
Masking Tab> Draw mask
> Set Uniform grid> Track itStabilize Tab
> hit mesh warp
> up top, expand planar surface
Make the patch in PS
Import to AE as footage
> Merge layers
> Copy Mocha from tracked layer
> Paste to patch layer
> Module renders / drop down renders / warp stabilize
> Mate / apply matte
I have a hunch that the issue is somewhere between the stabilize tab step and the point when I get back to AE, but I can’t pinpoint it. Also, the tutorial I was following has their reference frame as frame 1 – mine is later because the focus is better – could that be the issue?
Thanks!!!
