I’m having a problem with a piece of footage I’m tracking in mocha Pro to import into After Effects. The shot is a tricky crane shot over a wide landscape. I’m using the Camera Solve tool to track objects & camera movement.

The problem I keep having is trying to “solve” the shot. I’ve created about a dozen track layers. When I select 3 or 4 at various depths to “solve”, Mocha tells me that “Camera will be solved only for frames [#] to [#]. Select more layers to get the solution for a wider frame range.”

AND it won’t solve anything — Solve quality remains at 0%. I’ve tried selecting all my layers, selecting 2, selecting 12 — I keep getting the same message, just for different frame #s. What am I doing wrong? How can I get a camera solve? Thank you!

Without looking at the footage and your tracking splines, it’s impossible to know what it is that is causing the issue. You’ll need to provide a screen capture of your tracking splines and a low rez view of the footage.
