MMO on system designated for editing
Would an MMO type game mess with anything else if installed on a computer primarily used for editing?

Hi Vincent,
in 90% of the cases, no. You’ll be just fine. However there are some safer options:
1) Create one user account just for editing, work etc. and one just for gaming, misc. stuff.
or even better
2) Create a whole new partition for editing, work etc. and another one for non-work, gaming etc.
or best
3) Create a new partition with Mac OS X on an external or separate drive for non-work stuff.The advantage of having your work/non work separate from each other is that it makes it easier to back up your important data, troubleshoot and keep background processes to a bare minimum.

Technically? You’re probably fine.
But, two things: first will you be so addicted that you don’t get work done.
And the serious one – Your system is meant for editing; which makes money. WHY put stuff like this on it?
