    Hi –

I was handed a project that was mostly shot with on a PAL version of the HVX200 at the 1080i settings. The final output is to be to a Blu-Ray, maintaining the HD. However (natually) thee are problems.

On the timeline, when playing back, all looks good. No artifacts or jitter. When I made a small approval QT, all looked fine. However, when I did my final compression to a full-size, uncompressed QT, I noticed some jitter. And this apparently become more obvious once that content was burned to a Blu-Ray.

So, is there some way to standards-convert the PAL footage and, if so, how much degradation might I see (I know this is subjective) in the final images…

Hope I explained this clearly enough!

    Ron
