Mixing Frame rates in One Sequence
And now for the dumb question of the day.
I’m helping an actor friend with his reel which will go to DVD as well as uploaded to some websites. Trouble is his Quicktime clips (ripped from DVDs) are in different frame rates and one (mine) is HD.1. 59.94 fps, 720×404, DV-NTSC, Square Pixel
2. 23.98 fps, 720×404, DV-NTSC, Square Pixel
3. 23.98 fps, 1440×1080, ProRes422, HD
4. 29.97 fps, 640×480, DV-NTSC, Square PixelWhich clip becomes the one all others are converted to?

Whichever you use first…that sets the sequence settings to match that clip. After that, all the other clips added will be set to that frame rate. BUT, FCP does a HORRID job of mixing frame rates. Adds the wrong pulldown. Best to use Compressor to convert everything to the same frame rate.
