Mixing dv and sd on the same sequence without rendering

Not with FCP. Not sure about other products but I do know that NewTek’s VT4 can do it real-time. It can play back almost any video file as long as the codec is on the system. Works great for mixing DV and analog-captured footage in the same timeline. Sure wish Final Cut could do it.

Hmmm… Not good… I thought there was a way to interpret the field order in FCP.

Hi

FCP will play Uncompressed and DV on the same timeline if your system can cope and you enable unlimited RT effects. Premiere Pro 1.5 of PC also.
