Hi Im working on a job using the master card logo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastercard

im animating two circles together ie red + yellow = orange when i animate together i need to get the orange bit ive tried in various modes i thought screen would work but its not, it works with red green and blue but i can get the orange im looking for by mixing the red and yellow. Anyone have any advice thanks.

maybe just make the animation of the two circle coming together and then duplicate and matte out the crossed over section and fill orange?

Using screen you should get something that is somewhat orange, then you can use the “Hue/Saturation” or “Change to Color” effect to get it to the precise shade you want.

Yea ive tried that, problem is it changes the whole color ill have to try andys matte suggestion.

see attached logo mastercard logo. So i will have two balls bounce in red and yellow which makes orange i wish i could tell after effects this, unless im missing something simple, then they will make the logo.

It’s a matter of tweaking the tolerance so only the orange gets selected

I’ve just tried using soft light and worked (red solid on top)
