I’m using FCP 5 and I’m having quality issues mixing After Effects animation files with my video files in FCP. If I change the compressor setting for my sequence the animation files look great, but my video files look horrible. I’ve tried using the DV/DVC-Pro/NTSC compressor but that makes my video files look horrible. So here’s my question. How can I mix the to file formats in one timeline and make them both look they way they’re suppose to?

    Thanks All.

Figured it out use Apple intermediate Codec when exporting.

If you’re editing DV, then you render DV in After Effects. You should always render in the exact same frame size, frame rate and codec as your FCP project unless you require an alpha channel. Then you render in the Animation codec, but in the exact same frame size and frame rate as your FCP project.
