Mixing 720p in 1080i sequence
I am adding 720p mts footage into a HDV 1080i sequence by importing through L&T (fcp 7) and it seems to play ok alongside the HDV footage. Do I need to change the 1280 x 720p files into 1080 x 1440?

you’ll have a lot fewer issues if you make everything the same, less rendering and fewer calls for help later when things aren’t quite “right.”

I agree with Robb. You can use Compressor to convert and make sure you enable Frame Controls. Choose the Best quality settings for re-sizing and if the frame rate has to be converted choose Best for that, too. While I’ve never used it, ClipWrap might also help.
