While changing a cable on our BMD HD PRO card, one of the X-Serve Raid cables came out of it’s slot. It hadn’t been pushed in all the way, I guess.

Of course, we had a series of files become unconnected and everything is now back on line. However, many of the thumbnails on the timeline have been replaced by the red/black “media offline” indicator. The program works fine and everything is where it should be but we don’t have the thumbs on the timeline.

We did shut everything down for a bit and restarted.
Any ideas? (Other than “Make sure the cables are pushed all the way in”)

    Trash your FCP caches.

And how do we do that?

Wherever your thumbnail cache folder is, trash the files in there. It’s usually in your FCP Documents folder along with the the capture scratch.
