Hey all. Still trying to figure out my Decklink Extreme 3d. I’m working on a MacPro 2.26 quad core 16gb ram and 10.6.7 with FCP 7.0.3

Previously i was having problems with dropped frames and real time effects. Since i have switched my prores sequences to 8bit uncompressed, as i’m playing out to an HD monitor with component signal. Via the black magic 1920×1080 8bit 23.98 setting. So i’m living with that.

My latest hurdle which i’ve been researching all morning is SD in an HD timeline. I’m cutting a project that 90% is HD files as prores 422. I have film dailies that were digitized from dvcam as dv. When i cut the dv into the 8bit time line it goes in with out a render color bar. but then in playback it drops frames, and i can’t render it. I’ve also tried recompressing the dv to 8bit uncompressed and prores 422, but still running into the same problem. Anyone else encounter this. is there a fix, or is it just a problem when working with mixed resolutions?
