mixed formats
I am still trying to come up with a solution with my mixed formats question. I have 2 types of source material…both from EX1: 1920×1080 24p. HD and 1440×1080 30i in the hdv 25mpbs… both are obviously ntsc.
I want to edit together a bunch of material but need to deliver in PAL format. I am told .mov ..quictime files are fine.
I’ve created at 720×576 Pal DV (widescreen) project. I drop the material into the timeline and edit…no problem. When I render out as Pal interlaced (lower field first) .mov file…if get video breakup between the edits involving the 24p material and the 30i material… and even breakups between the 24p material.
However …if i render to .mov in progressive mode…it resolves the problem. Question is: 1. Am i actually creating a true (PAL) .mov file?
2. If i render out in progressive with it cause a problem for european newsbroadcasters?I really appreciate any advice …
