I’m editing a concert that was shot at 1920×1080 HD with the field dominance of upper(odd). I need to incorporate footage shot SD at 720×486 with the field dominance of lower(even). Both are compressed at Apple ProRes 422. What should I do to make the show look the best, and still be able to edit. Need help ASAP!!
I reviewed the postings on mixed field dominance, and they all seem to be about PAL/NTSC issues. That’s not my problem.

    Thanks,
    Heidi Perkins

As long as FC makes a very crappy upscaling, I would recommend you resize the SD footage in Compressor and change the field dominance to Upper in the same process.
You need to activate the “Frame Control”. and set the Resize filter: Better
