Is it ok to mix offline RT footage into regular DV footage in the timeline? My problem is I don’t have enough storage space, and am trying to think ahead where my editor might want to use a take that I’ve already downrezed to offline RT. I figure it would be more convenient for him to see the footage in offline RT than not at all in offline. Any advice most appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Alexander

you’d have to render that, im afraid.

no way to work with both formats in the one timeline in Realtime.

FCP5 might change that, but that’s in the future…

So just need to render the offline RT parts, right? I shouldn’t have too many, but there might be few.

they’ll also need to be blown up and maybe stretched slighly.

FCP4.5 seems to take care of the stretching, so a simple blow will sufice.

    225% works for me.
get something you like, and save it as a motion favorite, which you can drop an any RT shots you put in the timeline.
