Mist animation filling a shape
Hi all, I’ve had an enquiry from a client and to be honest have no idea what the best way is to fulfill it. Request below:<div>
The attached is an image we’ve inherited; we’ve only got it as a mid-res jpeg and we’d like to create an animation of it; with the mist coming downwards out of the device and forming the lung shape. The mist will need to follow the shape of the lungs as it moves; ie it can’t just be a cloud of mist that transforms into a lung shape recreate the static image as a hi-res layered file so that we can put it on different backgrounds, etc</div><div>
</div><div>I thought I’d create a jet of mist using Particular and use a pair of lungs as a matte, but I don’t know how to make that jet of mist conform to the shape so that it looks like the mist is creating the shape. Perhaps a combination of AutoFill on the matte layer, and a speed matte with darker edges so it looks like it’s filling up faster from the centre. If anyone has a better idea (ie, using Trapcode Form and an .obj of the lungs to make it fully 3D) I’d love to hear it.</div><div>
