    We have just upgraded to FCP 5.1.4 and now we have a strange problem.
    The problem is that FCP does not see our Sony GV-D1000 (NTSC) deck. FCP will control the deck in Capture mode, but there’s no video or audio. We have tried changing firewire ports, cables, and have gone through all the sets a dozen times and have done everything we could find from Apple support. Any ideas ?

    The problem has been solved !!! I just went through the process all over again for the 3rd time and everything is working. The only thing different this time was I unplugged the firewire drive and the deck while I went thought the process.
