I am using Sony Vegas 8 to edit an Easter video from a local church. I have 2 video tracks and 3 audio tracks. I was almost done with the main part of the video and about to render it when the video from the second video track disappeared, however the audio is still there. The original raw file is also still in my project media box and I haven’t moved any of the files at all. I would like to fix this without having to re-edit all of the video again. If anyone has a quick solution to this I’m all ears. Thanks!

Your video-track just disappaered by itself? Did you try Ctrl Z?

Did you try already the backup file that Vegas creates automaticly?

Yes, I’ve already tried those options. The backup was the exact same thing. I didn’t notice that the video was missing until I had already saved it. The video just disappeared. It’s not there. I don’t understand it because the audio track that was with the video is still there. There’s just no video.

See if this works for you.
Right-click the audio of the missing video and select “Open in Trimmer”.
Assuming you can see the video there, double-click it to highlight the segment, right-click it, drag it to the timeline where it’s supposed to be, choose “Video Only” and then one of the 3 options.
