I have just reloaded FInal Cut Studio 2 four times. The last time I trashed every possibly relevant Preference/Receit/App Support file and all traces of previous versions. The Smoothcam filter is sitting there in the ProApps/Internal Plugin/FXplug folder – it is just is not turning up in the Video Filter/Video menu in FCP.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in anticipation.

possibly try out effects availability and turn on all

then maybe choose it and others and then choose the option for marked only

    just an idea

Solved – I had an old FXFactory plugin in the Library/Plugin folder. Removing this solved the problem.
