Missing Qmaster, related problems
Hello all,
I recently has to reformat my Mac and the Apple Affiliate (one of the stores they use when there is not an Apple store nearby) who performed the reformatting left out a number of programs and parts of programs when backing up my drive. One of these was the Qmaster program.
The version of FCP studio I am using is 5.1.4 and because I no longer work for the company that installed this software on my computer I no longer have access to the discs to simply reinstall.
I am still able to use Final Cut and several other programs but I am finding I am no longer able to use the effects filters. I assumed this was because they were not transfered when my hard drive was back up. I have since attempted to install other filters (an old version of Magic Bullet I used before FCP) and I am finding I am unable to use these as well. The version of Magic Bullet should work with this version of FCP and I am wondering if the problem lies with Qmaster.
Do any of you happen to know if this is the case? Having access to even limited effects filters would be most helpful to me at the moment, although the quicktime filters that do presently work in FCP are a bit too limited.

If I read this correctly, that means that you never actually owned the FCP license. Sounds like you need to actually go out & buy your own copy.

That would make you an unauthorized user and technically you are using pirated software.
Many of us here have taken a stance against helping those individuals that use or promote use of pirated tools.
