I have a logo that was created in Illustrator. When I now open that file in Illustrator, I see the whole logo in the preview pane but when the file opens up there are a couple layers missing. I have looked to see if maybe they were behind other layers but they appear to be not there at all. Does any one know why this might happen and how to fix it?

have you tried pressing command-y? If not, do you see the outlines when you do this?

Upload the file and have someone take a look at it.

Also, check if overprint preview is enabled or disabled. Maybe you are missing overprinted whites in the print preview…

I can see your spot colours…
