  • Missing LastClip.txt file from P2 card, how to import into FCP?

    Hello All,

I’m working with the Panasonic HVX using P2 cards. I have a drive with improperly ingested P2 cards on it. Specifically, instead of copying the contents card AND the LastClip.txt file, only the contents were copied over to a harddrive. I’ve tried importing them into FCP by copying LastClip.txt files from the same cards used on that shoot and tried “cheating the system” but the “P2 volume was unrecognized.” I tried using the Voltaic program (which transfers AVCHD files into quicktimes) but it does not recognize the mxf video file format–only the mts and m2ts files can be imported. I know the differences between AVCHD and P2 but I thought it was worth a shot as that program ignores the AVCHD text file. Does anyone know of a similar program that might ignore the P2 text file and converts to HD quicktimes. Or am I just dreaming? Any other suggestions out there? Thanks so much in advance for your help and time reading this request.

    Best,
    ~A.
