  • Missing keyframe handles in the Graph Editor

Posted by Espen Jakobsen on July 15, 2008 at 11:32 am

Very often I like to animate a layers’ position so that it goes a tad too far before settling to its ending position, and I find the Graph Editor the best way to do this, pulling the handle of the ending keyframe so that the curve of the position property “overshoots” a little.

But right now I dont get any handles on my keyframes. I have the “Edit Value Graph” activated, and have tried to convert my keyframes from linear to Auto Bezier and Easy Ease, but the handles that let me do the the trick, that Eran showed in one of the podcast tutorials, dont show up. Why?

By default the keyframes seem to get a bezier temporal and linear spatial interpolation, but if I change the spatial to bezier too, the handles still dont show up. What am I doing wrong?

Here the other day I got the handles, and in the keyframe interpolation the temporal was bezier, but the spatial was locked (greyed out) and it said linear. I’ve tried different combinations of temporal and spatial with different interpolations, but the handles arent there. Should I reinstall or something?
