  • Missing Frame On loopOut(“cycle”) Drives Me Nuts

    Hi Gang!

So I am basically hitting a wall with this. Take this AE project here.
I am doing a loopOut(“cycle”) on a simple precomp containing 4 layers with some hand drawn text.
The time mapping works except that I have a missing blank frame that drives me nuts trying to figure out why.
If you have an idea what I might be doing wrong please let me know. I am at the end of my wits.

    thanks a ton!!

when you use time remapping on a pre comp, the last frame is blank. to get around this, move the cgi to one frame before the last time remapping keyframe and add a new keyframe, then delete the last keyframe.

an alternate way is to roll-your-own loop expression, like this:

    time%key(numKeys).time

this expression will mimic loopOut(‘cycle’) or loopIn(‘cycle’), but not the other loops types.
