Missing files
I have shot in sony XDCAN E3.But my attendanr forget to copy the whole folder of recorded 32 GB drive ,but the supporting files of the main folder.those are,.xml,.mediapro.xml,.TAKR.He selected the main folder’s .CLPR file and copy paste it into the hard drive(where all Mpeg4 clips with their supporting files are stored-that I have intact)But without the main three folder files that i specified initially,my FCP machine is not able to export that footage.
Kindly help… -

Using Sony’s Clip Browser software (free download) you can take an orphaned or ‘stand alone’ .mp4 file from an XDCAM EX and create a new BPAV folder for that file,
Courtesy of a previous post by Ian Smith who works for Sony:
“Point the (Clip Browser) top Explorer window to a location (‘Desktop,’ for example), select File–>Import, browse to the .mp4 and try to import it. If this works it will create a new BPAV folder containing the rebuilt clip in the specified location.”

Don is correct (except re the ‘Ian Smith’ part, lol). You can also try putting all the standalone .mp4s into a folder and adding that folder as a source in XDCAM Transfer 2.12. It can actually read ‘orphaned’ mp4s. The downside to doing it this way is that it does not rebuild the card image with all the metadata and library files. For this, the Clip Browser import method is required. When doing it this way you end up with an actual card image/archive.
