Missing DVCPRO HD codecs?
Hello! I’m a FCP 5/Final Cut Studio 2 user (haha a liitle old school, I know!) and usually use Compressor to compress my 720p H.264 files to DVCPRO HD 720p60 files to better edit in FCP. Recently, I’ve been wanting to do the same with 1080p 30fps H.264 clips. However, I’ve noticed that I (in Compressor and FCP) do not have DVCPRO HD codecs for 1080p, 30fps clips. I thought Final Cut Studio 2 didn’t support that codec, but I’ve noticed that I have an option for a DVCPRO HD 1080p30 project option in Motion.
Am I missing the DVCPRO HD codec in FCP and Compressor? If so, how can I reinstall those codecs?
Or, does anyone have any better suggestions on how I could edit 1080p 30fps H.264 clips in FCP. As a reminder, I am editing with FCP 5, so I have neither a Log and transfer option nor Apple ProRes codec support.
Thanks in advance!
