I am working away from home base for a few months on my laptop. PPCS4 is installed and working OK. However my custom effects are missing. I have a backup of my Home Media computer but have no idea where these effects might be stored or under what file extension. Any suggestions, I really don’t want to try and re-create over 4 years of work!!

    Regards
    Richard

I have no idea where Premiere stores Custom Presets however they can be imported and exported. You need to export from your Home pc, copy them and transfer them to the laptop. Then you import them into the effects.

Just found out where Adobe hides them.
    C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\5.5
They are stored in a file named: Effect Presets and Custom Items.prfpset
But you still need to copy them from your Home pc.

Thank you Ann. Not sure how I will copy them from 4000 miles away but fortunately I have a 2TB drive with a mirror image of my home machine. I’ll look there.
    Thanks again
