Missing codec for XDCAM EX 720p
The import of .Mov file breaks Premiere Pro CS4 starting with the error message "incorrect or missing codec", When playing in quicktime but no images available ton. Has anyone has any idea about this??? – Thank you

I’m going to take an educated guess here. These are not the native files from the camera recording. They are files that someone captured/ingested/converted with FCP.
FCP and apple don’t like to share things and they have to make every format into MOV – which is why I guess your problem is FCP capture and not what Pr understands the original .MXF files inside a heap of folders starting with BPAV.
Apple converts the original files into a single MOV and in doing that is uses an FCP/Apple only codec they still call XDCAM (This happens with DVCPROHD too).
Look around other forums/posts for ways to work with what you have got or get the original files and Pr will work as expected. I suspect the original files are probably long gone…
