missing clips in media tool-avid express 4.6
hey guys, i replaced my computer & also my media drives.
earlier i had 4 media drives of different sizes, now 500GB raid0 2 drives striped.all works fine (kcnock wood) except for 1 anoying problem, not even 30% of my actuall amount of media files, precomputes & master clips is present in the media tool.
no need to say that avid re-created the database files before it first started after a fresh installation.
i also moved & combined avid projects folders, don’t know if it has something to do with that…
any clue how can i sove this problem, before i go project by project and delete master clips manually??? -

8 months letter but still, I just fall in that problem for days of back sweat. I got 2 long play (70 min) edits and many stuffs in dv on 1 drive for 6000 files or so in databse. The fact is, try to find a or many bad currupted file(s) is hard end invoke costly time and a lot of gigs of manualy copying of database files. I did and it was the case. Seems Xpress pro is not that good at managing corrupted file as irrelevents ones in is OMFI directory. It started building up all my database when i get ride of the currupted ones.
