I was watching a tutorial and it told me to use the effect CC force motion blur. I do not seem to have this effect in my copy of After Effects CS3. I seem to be missing several CC… effects that I saw in the video tutorial. Is this an extra plug in I need to get, and if so where. Or should it have been included with After FX and if so how could I get them.

    Thanks

CC effects are plug-ins that comes free with After Effects,
you can find it under effect->time->CC force Motion Blur

i’m pretty sure that by cs3 (ae8) the cc effects and other third-party effects that are bundled with ae were installed by default (earlier versions had them in the extras folder)…

however, it’s possible that they weren’t installed if the third-party content option was unchecked. i beleive that you can still install them without re-installing ae by running the installer again, and choosing to only install the third-party content.

    Canoa?
The bundled CC effects are Cycore FX.

Anyone who didn’t get Cycore FX bundled can purchase Cycore Effects HD, the extended 16/32 bit version of Cycore FX.

They are included in the Academic versions but will not show up until you receive your official Serial number from Adobe, and then they will “turn on”. Just had to do this myself recently.

Eternity…don’t miss it for the world.
