  • Missing Capture Preset in Final Cut pro 5

I am shooting a film with the DVX 100A and want to shoot in squeeze mode, since we will be framing for 16X9, and since we may very well transfer to film, I want it to be shot 24p Adv. My problem comes in trying to get this footage into Final cut Pro 5. FC5 has a capture preset for DV adv. (2:3:3:2) pulldown, and DV anamorphic, but doen’t have one with both together., ie. a DV Adv. Anamorphic.

Has anyone come across this before? I am going to try posting this on the DVX100 post as well.

    Thanks
    Chris.

choose Final Cut Pro > Audio/Video settings… and select the Capture Presets tab
choose the capture preset for DV Advanced and press the Duplicate button
in the Capture Preset Editor change the name to DV Advanced Anamorphic (or similar)
put a tick in the Anamorphic 19:9 checkbox
    then press OK

you just created your own DV Advanced Anamorphic preset, now you just need to choose it
