Missing Audio In and Out
After the latest Apple updates we have lost our audio in and out on the IO. We can digitize video and play back video, but no audio coming in when digitizing or our when playing back. Any ideas? I’ve ditched prefs and reinstalled the IO drivers and presets. I’m stumped.

Does this happen all the time? Can you hear audio for a few seconds when you first open FCP, then it cuts out?
We have experienced a continuingly bothersome bug in FCP and IOLA that shuts down audio for no reason.
Try this: click into the finder, then back into FCP, and listen if this will bring audio back. For us it usually does, but then the audio quickly cuts out again, forcing us to do this several times until IO and FCP play nice together.
I’ve read posts with other users complaints of this same issue. I sure wish somebody had a solution, ‘cuz it makes it really hard to edit SOUND when you can’t HEAR it.
