    HI all:

I am cutting a project that someone else digitized for me using BlackMagic SD uncompressed codec. With one of the clips, audio inexplicably drops out about halfway through the clip, at the beginning of a new scene. In addition, with ALL the of the clips, the audio waveform in the timeline is practically non-existent.

When I “reveal clip in finder” and play it back in Quicktime, the audio is present throughout the entire clip, no problems.

I was able to view the footage withot installing the BlackMagic codec at first, but when I noticed the audio issuee, I downoaded and installed the codec, anyway, in hopes it would help – but no difference.

Any ideas? (Also posting this in the BlackMagic forum…)

    Thanks,

    Tom

open it in quicktime again and do a save as, changing nothing.

could be something corrupt in the file itself.
