In my Audio/Video Settings under Video Playback, it says:

    [Missing] Apple Firewire NTSC (720 x 480)

In my capture window is says:

    Preview Disabled

I am not getting audio or video… suggestions.

    Thanks

Without much information to go on with your system I would suggest:

    Trash Prefs

    Restart the System

    Hi Walter thanks!!!

    G5 dual 2.gig, OS X 10.42, 6 gig ram.

Using Sony Video Walkman(s) taried 2, tried camera also.

Trashed all preferences, restarted computer, changed firewire cables, still does not see any device. Tried no controllable devices – still no audio or video. Under firewire DV control it does control the device.

    Appreciate the help.

its a QT problem and is caused usually because you upgraded while your FW devices were connected to your Mac which is something you are not supposed to do. So..do this
