Hi! I’m relatively new to Cinema 4D and many of the tutorials I’ve encountered about rigging and weight painting involve bipedal models. I’ve modeled an animal, and am trying to rig it to make a good walk cycle. I know the techniques exist but most tutorials are outdated.

    Questions:

When I rig and weight paint one leg, could I mirror all of it to the other leg? Weights and all?

When involving something like floppy ears or tails, like a donkey or a horse, or maybe short tails like a bunny, what is the best method for dynamically giving it a little bounce when say the hips or head move?

I appreciate any help or direction that can be pointed out to me! Thank you 😀

I don’t think there’s a way to reverse the reging and weights. I think you have to build each part separately, especially with the differences between the front and back legs. As for achieving a rebounding movement for the tails and ears, that varies depending on the required walking posture.
