  • Mirror multicam on external monitor or 2nd monitor?

Posted by L Isha on September 28, 2005 at 7:02 pm

    Hello to all,

Working in FCP5. The producer wants to better see the multiclip images in my viewer. Is it possible to show this image on my NTSC monitor? Make it larger on a 2nd computer monitor? What options, if any, do I have?

    As always, thanks in advance!

    1. Tell the producer to trust the editor.

    2. Move his/her chair behind you.

    3. Get an SVGA (monitor) splitter and put another computer monitor (same as yours) on the producer’s desk.
(No need to “blow it up” if the producer can see it the same size as YOU do.)

    4. Read #1 again.

    Hmm,
perhaps some people should glance at the manual.
Go to the view menu, select ‘show multiclip angles’.
This give you the multiple camera boxes you have playing
in the viewer (connected to your timeline) in your
    external monitor.
My experience has been the client doesn’t want to see it
all the time, just when they want to explore using a
different shot than the one I already picked.
