October 25, 2005 at 5:31 amHi,
I think the option to mirror displays is usually controlled by your graphics card. Of course, that is simple as the assumption is made the you might want to mirror two displays connected to the one graphics card.
In this case you want to mirror two displays on two graphics/video cards and I don’t think there is a Windows setting for that. I certainly couldn’t find one but maybe someone else in this forum can help.
If you could find a way to make this happen, the output through DeckLink might look poor as it would not be normal to display your Windows desktop at the lower resolutions of TV.
What are you trying to achieve? There might be another way to do what you want to do.

October 25, 2005 at 8:18 amWe want to send Internet Explorer windows and navigate through the web for a screen projection but the screen is on another room, so is very difficult to navigate if we have to send our main windows to “another desktop”. Our intention is to send the same windows on our main screen via SDI for this projection.
I have ask you in your web support because I needed an answer as soon as possible, and BMD answer me very quick. Thanks for your prompt answer.
An excellent technical support

The DeckLink Pro has both SDI and analog video output. This means you can send the SDI to the other room but you could simultaneously monitor the output on an inexpensive analog monitor. Even a consumer TV will do and you could use the DeckLink control panel to switch the analog video output to composite analog video (NTSC/PAL, Y Out) and then connect the Y Out cable to the composite input of the standard definition TV. You can then easily monitor your video output right next to your PC at the same time as sending the SDI to the projector in the other room.
After setting your DeckLink Desktop to NTSC or PAL, you can then drag Internet Explorer, Netscape or Firefox over on to the DeckLink desktop. Set the size of the browser window to fit within your NTSC or PAL desktop. Anything you do in the browser will then be shown on your analog monitor and via SDI to the projector.
If you really want to project your desktop via the DeckLink card, you could specify the DeckLink desktop to be your primary monitor. However I find that the small size of icons and text in standard definition do not look very good when viewed via a TV although they can look OK in high definition.
