Hello, I am looking for a second hand Imac.

What would be the minimun requirements in terms of processor, Ram, graphic card etc if I want to edit the following formats?

    -Black Magic ProRes 422 1920 x 1080
    -Black Magic ProRes 422 HQ. 3840 x 2160
    -Panasonic AVCHD, MTS. 1920 x 1080
    -Sony F7. H264. 4096 x 2160

what about if I want to edit RED raw 4k files?

Thanks a lot for the input

And if you are dead set on an iMac, I’d wait for the iMac Pro. From the tech specs, an iMac Pro with fast Thunderbolt storage should be a good option. But that’s looking at specs and not actual usage.

If you’re open to looking at PC options, there’s a wide variety of CPU, GPU choices that will give you a solid 4k workflow. And yes, a Thunderbolt raid will allow you to work without proxies.
If you’re committed to Apple then I too would advocate that you wait for the latest Mac offerings.
