i have just started using FCP,making a BIG leap from playing around with iMovie..i have about 6 hours of HDV footage to capture and don’t have enough internal storage
this might make some laugh, i’m trying to do this on an imac….
will a drive connected by ethernet save me from buying a macpro?
or am i wasting my time……

Get a FireWire drive with two ports. Do not use an ethernet drive.

    All the best,
